Eazao Potter modified to Z-axis side limit tutorial

Eazao Potter includes two Z-axis limit methods:
- Z-axis nozzle setter limit.
- Z-axis side limit.
Eazao Potter uses the “nozzle setter” Z-axis limit method by default, that is, after printing starts, the nozzle moves to the center of the printing platform, triggers the nozzle setter twice, performs Z-axis limit, and realizes Z-axis homing.
Using this method, for printing plates of different thicknesses, there is no need to adjust the position of the Z-axis limit switch to achieve automatic adjustment of the Z-axis distance for limit. As shown below:
Some users have asked whether the Z-axis limit method can be changed to “Z-axis side limit”? In this way, you don’t need to place the nozzle setter before each printing. You can modify it according to the following steps.
1. Install the Z-axis side limit switch: Insert the limit switch with an M3-10 bolt into the slot of the Z-axis back plate, and fix it with an M3 nut on the other side.
2. Use a 3-core wire harness marked with the number “Z” to connect the Z-axis side limit switch.
3. Connect the printer to the computer using a USB cable, open the software Arduloder.exe, and select the matrix printer port: COM3 (may be COM1, 2, etc.). Follow the configuration and sequence shown in the figure below, and finally click “Upload” to upload Eazao Potter’s Z-axis side limit firmware: 20250101_Potter_firmware_ Z-axis_side_limit.hex
4. Click on the screen to perform Z-axis limit homing and adjust the Z-axis limit switch distance.
