M500 3D printer installation emergency stop switch

You need to prepare an emergency stop switch, as shown in the figure above.

First, you need to check whether your M500 printer has a circular installation hole for the emergency stop switch. Generally, there is one installation hole on the top and base of the printer on the right side of the printer.

1. The emergency stop switch can be installed on the top of the printer or on the base of the printer according to your needs, as shown in the figure below:

2. Turn over the printer base, and you will see the 2-input and 2-output wiring terminal in the base chassis as shown in the figure below. The terminal is connected to the 2 red wires inside the chassis by default.

3. Open the wiring terminal and connect the wires as shown in the figure below, where one side of the terminal is 2 red wires from the inside of the chassis, and the other side is 2 red wires of the emergency stop switch.

4. Press the wiring terminal tightly. At this time, we have connected an emergency stop switch in series on the power supply line of the printer motherboard. As shown in the figure below:

5. The profile dust strip and winding tube can be used to seal the emergency stop switch harness in the profile groove.

If an emergency occurs, you can press the emergency stop switch to stop the power supply to the printer mainboard and the printer stops working. Rotate the emergency stop switch in the same direction as the pointer to restore the power supply to the printer mainboard.
