Eazao Concrete 3D Printing Extruder
Stainless Steel Screw Extruder for Concrete & Mortar 3D Printing
The Eazao Concrete 3D Printing Extruder is a standalone screw extrusion module specifically designed for concrete mortar, cement-based mixtures, and similar high-viscosity construction materials.
Featuring a stainless steel body and screw, flexible manual or pump feeding, quick-release customizable nozzles, an accelerator/additive inlet, and multiple auxiliary material access points, the extruder provides an open and flexible solution for concrete 3D printing research and customized equipment development.
It can be integrated with gantry systems, robotic arms, CNC motion platforms, and custom-built concrete 3D printers, making it suitable for universities, research laboratories, system integrators, and developers working with cementitious material extrusion.
Designed for Concrete & Mortar
The extrusion system is specifically designed for handling concrete mortar and similar cement-based materials.
Both the main extruder body and internal screw are made of stainless steel, providing a durable material path for abrasive cementitious mixtures.
The internal screw continuously transports and extrudes the material toward the outlet, providing controlled material delivery during 3D printing.
Important Material Compatibility Notice
Although the external appearance of this extruder is similar to the Eazao CCF Extruder, the internal screw design is different.
The Eazao Concrete 3D Printing Extruder is optimized specifically for concrete mortar and cement-based materials.
It is not designed for ceramic clay, porcelain clay, pottery clay, or similar clay-based materials.
For ceramic and clay extrusion applications, please use the appropriate Eazao clay extrusion system.

Two Material Feeding Methods
The extruder supports both manual feeding and external pump feeding, allowing it to adapt to different experimental and printing requirements.
Open Manual Feeding
A large open feeding area is located at the front of the extruder.
Concrete mortar can be manually added directly into the extrusion chamber through this opening.
The open structure is particularly convenient for:
- Small-batch material testing
- Laboratory experiments
- Material formulation development
- Short-duration printing
- Manual material feeding
- Observing material behavior during extrusion
The operator can directly observe the material inside the extrusion chamber during feeding and printing.
G1 1/2 Pump Feeding Connection
For continuous or larger-volume printing, the extruder can be connected to an external concrete mortar pump.
A G1 1/2 threaded inlet is located at the rear of the extruder, allowing concrete mortar to be continuously pumped into the extrusion chamber.
This makes the extruder suitable for both laboratory-scale material development and larger continuous concrete printing applications.
Quick-Release & Customizable Extrusion Nozzles
The front outlet of the extruder uses a sanitary clamp quick-release connection, allowing the extrusion nozzle to be installed, removed, cleaned, and replaced quickly.
This makes it easy to switch between different nozzle sizes and geometries without disassembling the main extruder.
Nozzle Not Included by Default
The standard extruder is supplied without an extrusion nozzle, allowing customers to select or customize the nozzle according to their specific material and printing requirements.
Eazao can customize extrusion nozzles with different:
- Outlet diameters
- Round outlets
- Rectangular outlets
- Customized outlet shapes
- Extrusion widths
- Geometries for specific printing applications
The maximum available outlet diameter is approximately 47 mm.
Smaller outlet diameters can be customized according to customer requirements.
Selecting the Appropriate Nozzle Size
The appropriate nozzle diameter depends strongly on the concrete or mortar formulation.
When using smaller nozzle diameters, factors such as:
- Aggregate particle size
- Material viscosity
- Material rheology
- Extrusion resistance
- Required extrusion pressure
must be considered.
Reducing the nozzle diameter increases extrusion resistance and may cause unstable material flow or nozzle clogging if the material formulation is not suitable.
Therefore, the minimum practical nozzle diameter depends on the specific material being printed rather than the extruder alone.
Custom nozzle sizes and outlet geometries are available upon request.
G3/4 Accelerator / Additive Inlet
A G3/4 threaded inlet is located on the side of the extruder near the material outlet.
This interface can be used to introduce secondary materials such as:
- Concrete accelerators
- Liquid additives
- Setting modifiers
- Other compatible secondary materials
Because the inlet is positioned close to the extrusion outlet, it can be used to explore rapid-setting concrete and multi-component extrusion processes while reducing the residence time of fast-setting additives inside the main extrusion chamber.
When this function is not required, the G3/4 inlet can be sealed with a plug.
Four Top Auxiliary Material Inlets
The top cover of the extrusion chamber includes four Ø16.5 mm openings.
These openings provide additional access to the material chamber and can be used for experimental addition of liquids, powders, or other secondary materials.
Depending on the material system and experimental setup, they can potentially be used for:
- Liquid additives
- Powder additives
- Pigments
- Functional fillers
- Other secondary materials
These auxiliary openings provide additional flexibility for researchers developing modified cementitious materials and customized material formulations.
Easy Mechanical Integration
The rear of the extruder features an integrated mounting plate with four M5 threaded mounting holes.
This allows the complete extrusion module to be installed onto a customized bracket, motion system, or robotic platform.
The standalone extruder can be integrated with:
- Gantry-style concrete 3D printers
- Robotic arms
- CNC motion platforms
- Custom-built concrete 3D printers
- Laboratory extrusion systems
- Automated material deposition equipment
This makes the extruder suitable not only as a replacement extrusion module, but also as a building block for developing entirely new concrete additive manufacturing systems.
