Leakage protection switch: If tripped, the red light goes out and the yellow circle pops up. The gray oval is the trip reset button. After tripping, press the gray oval to reset and the red light will light up.

The red dial switches the spindle motor on and off. If you turn the red dial upward, the spindle will rotate forward. If it stops in the middle, if you turn the red dial downward, the spindle will rotate reversely.

The green dial is the vacuum pump switch. If you push it up, the vacuum pump will work. If you push it down, it will stop.

Vacuum chamber: You need to tighten it when using it, and the vacuum chamber can become a sealed space for vacuuming.

Vacuum pressure gauge: We will disassemble it before shipping and package it separately. You need to install it yourself. Press the blue circle inward and use force to pull out the trachea. Once inserted here, it will be normal.

Pugmill User Manual

Vacuum pugmill is a mechanical device used to knead and degas clay in ceramic production. It can also be used to mix clay before throwing, and can remove bubbles in the clay.

This machine is suitable for clay with a moisture content of about 20%-24% or recycled clay.

First turn on the pugmill and then evenly put the clay into the bucket. After the clay comes out, turn on the vacuum pump to knead the clay and remove the bubbles in the clay.

Precautions for stopping the machine

  1. After there is no clay in the Pugmill bucket; 2. The machine nozzle does not discharge clay; 3. Open the air valve to exhaust; 4. Stop the clay kneading machine; 5. Then stop the vacuum pump; 6. Put a wet cloth in the bucket to keep the moisture in the clay; 7. Seal the bucket and the clay outlet with a plastic bag.

Precautions

  1. Dry clay cannot be put into the bucket, and there must be no garbage or debris in the recycled clay.
  2. If the Pugmill is not used for a long time, it should be started every half a month.
